Data Policy Blog Posted on Jul 29 2019 [点击查看中文版本 Click Here to Read the Chinese Version](https://blog.hiaoxui.com/blog/post/hiaoxui/ssr-data-policy-zh) # Data Policy Your data are limited by the following polices: + Data balance$^1$ is set as 20GB initially. + When the data are used up, you will be disallowed to use SSR$^2$. + Every account will be replenished with 2GB data on 1 am every night$^3$, but the data balance cannot exceed 20GB. + Different servers have different data weight$^4$. "Data Recorded" = "Data Actually Used" * Weight. An Example: 1. Let x be the data balance of Alice. Initially, x = 20GB. 2. On the first day, Alice used 2GB data in a server with wight=0.5. After that, x = 20GB - 0.5 * 2G = 19GB. 3. On the next day, Alice got additional 2GB data. Since 19GB + 2GB > 20GB, now x = 20GB (The upper bound of balance is 20GB). 4. On the second day, Alice used 20GB data in a server with wight=1. After that, x = 20GB - 20GB * 1 = 0. 5. Alice couldn't use SSR now, but she was still able to use the servers with weight=0. 6. On the third day, Alice got another 2GB. Then she was able to use SSR again. -------------------------------------- $^1$ Data = Upload + Download. $^2$ But you can use the servers with weight=0 all the way. $^3$ The time zone is UTC+8. $^4$ Weight should be a decimal number between 0 and 1. -------------------------------------- # How do I choose? 1. I suggest you use high weight servers if you just use SSR to open some websites or watch videos since those servers are usually better. 2. If you have some jobs that require a lot of data, please use the servers with low weight. 3. If you have big jobs every day, then the servers with 0 weight would be more appropriate. # Why do you set this policy? For fairness. Different people circumvent GFW for different purposes, and the bandwidth is limited. If the bandwidth is occupied by big jobs, the experience of some clients will be affected. The limitations are used to optimize the route selection strategy. **Please note that I'm not going to make profit from SSR. I understand some SSR providers are using this way to encourage clients to pay money to get a better experience, but it's not the fact for me.** # Can I enlarge my quota? I'm sorry but no. # Can I pay to get more data? I'm sorry but no.
